Esther Florence Bodenhamer Tyndall of Clemmons formerly of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
Esther was born on October 26, 1926, in Forsyth County, a daughter to the late John Bodenhamer and Ermie Weavil Bodenhamer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rommie Winfred Tyndall, Sr., five siblings, Randall Bodenhamer, Dorothy Riggle, Paul Bodenhamer, Bobby Bodenhamer, and Tommy Ray Bodenhamer.
Mrs. Tyndall was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Dixie Square Dancing Club. She also enjoyed wood carving and was a talented seamstress. She was always one to count on and was always there when you needed her. Esther was a dedicated and loving homemaker that gave selflessly and always put her husband and children first.
She is survived by three children, Valinda Tyndall Jones and husband, Hayes of Rockhill, SC, Rommie Winfred Tyndall, Jr. and wife, Sherry of Efland, NC, and Judy T. Vaught and husband, Rick of Clemmons; three siblings, John “Buster” Lewis Bodenhamer, Naomi Lewallen, and Betty Ann Gibbons; five grandchildren, Ashley Jones Philp, Hayes Winfred Jones, Joshua Nicholas Tyndall, Kaycee Vaught Thomas and Lynne Kay Vaught; and four great grandchildren, Jessa Philp, Scarlett Philp, Landon Philp, and Hayes Emerson Jones.
A graveside service will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, April 15th at Forsyth Memorial Park mausoleum chapel with The Rev./Dr. Susan Pillsbury-Taylor officiating. The family will have a viewing from 10:30 until 11:00 AM prior to the service.
