Sandy was born in Tarentum, Pennsylvania on August 25, 1940 to the late Harland Hotham, II and Ethel McCormick Hotham. He attended the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his Bachelor degree in Biology at Allegheny College then a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Sandy worked as a pharmacist for 43 years. Before retirement he owned and operated McKamey’s Village Pharmacy in Zionsville, Indiana for 12 years.
Sandy had many passions in his life. He loved fishing and sailing. The serenity of the open water is where he would choose to spend his spare time. He also loved model aircraft. Sandy was a member of the Riverside Aeromodelers Society (RAMS) and looked forward to their meetups and events. When not on the water or flying his model aircraft, Sandy could be found at home watching sports, especially during football season. Sandy was a devoted Pittsburgh Steeler’s fan with the wardrobe to match.
Sandy leaves behind his daughters, Susan (Tony) Muñoz and Melanie Marns Hotham (Joe Creamer), and grandchildren, Antonio Micheal (Janna Serbo) Muñoz and Steven Andrew Muñoz (Hannah Moser).
He also leaves behind his beloved English Cocker Spaniel, Faye. Sandy was an avid dog lover. He bred English Cocker Spaniel show dogs, even breeding one champion, Lance.
