

She was born on Valentine’s Day in 1928 in New York to the late Brigadier General Frank McLaughlin and Charlotte McLaughlin. Jean Anne attended St. Lawrence University. Married to Harold Webb Rossire for over 25 years, she was widowed in 1982. She was an active member at Holy Family Catholic Church where she was a long time member of its choir.
Jean Anne is survived by her devoted daughter, Nanette Catharine Curti, of Clemmons, and her spouse, Benjamin Curti, and their four children, Elise Mae, Andrew Benjamin, Celeste Claire, and Annette Jeanine, who had always been close to their “Mamaw”. She is also survived by her son, Douglas Charles Rossire, of Michigan, and his wife, Da Marie, as well as by her loving brother, Col. James McLaughlin, and his wife, Mary Jane, and by her Godson, Lt. Col. Geoffrey McLaughlin, 5 other nieces and nephews, 16 grand nieces and nephews, and many other loved ones and friends.
The family would like to thank the Wake Forest Baptist Health Neuroscience ICU, Hospice and the staff at Bermuda Commons for the kind and excellent care they provided.
The funeral mass will be Friday, July 14th at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4820 Kinnamon Rd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Catholic Campus Ministry at Appalachian State University, 232 Faculty St, Boone, NC 28607.
