

She was born in Forsyth County to Newell and Violet Dilworth Warner. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of fifty-five years, John Fulk Sr., and their son John Fulk, Jr.
She graduated from Old Town High School in 1948 as valedictorian of her class and winner of numerous senior superlatives. She spent her adult life as an active member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, holding numerous leadership positions in the church, such as chairperson of the Administrative Council, Lay Leader, Sunday School Superintendent, Lay Person of the Year, and beloved Sunday School Teacher of the Friendship Class. She was also a volunteer at Forsyth Medical Park.
She is survived by her daughter Marilyn Mercer (husband- John Mercer), and their two children Todd (wife-Kate), and Mark, and her son Joe Fulk (wife-Karen), and their two children, Kelly and Joe Fulk, and many other special friends and extended family members.
Her Christian example and her excellent teaching ability in the Sunday school classroom will be greatly missed by many in her church family who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Frank Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel. Dr. Steve Martin will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be in Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem.
