I am heartbroken from your loss. Joe you were an amazing compassionte nurse, loved by your patients and those of us privileged to know and work with you . I miss your laugh, I miss your keen mind and the talks we had, I miss you.
My prayers are with his family who he spoke of with love to me often. Most memorable his "babies".
Fly high among the clouds where you can watch over those who truly loved you Joseph. You are so missed .

To the Casey Family,

I was informed by my Mother today of Joe's passing and I am deeply saddened. In this sadness, I could find solace in the fact that Joe created some of my fondest and most precious memories of my late Grandmother, Betty, and of my loving Grandaunt Ruth.

When Joe was younger, he would play the role of a travel companion for My Grandparents and her Sister, Ruth as they traveled the country on bus tours with my Granduncle and Grandfather in tow. I find happiness in the memories of the way Betty and Ruth would light up a room, talking about how helpful Joe was on the trips.

They would show me pictures and talk about him with pride you simply cannot muster unless it is the truth and the source of a great love. I wish I could have thanked him for those memories I hold so dear.

When we were younger, I always marveled at this kid who could remember the names of every dinosaur, both nicknames and in Latin, at just 8 years old and six years my junior.

I'll miss my cousin Joe and I will always be there for the Casey family should they need me or my family for any assistance in the coming months and years. You can count on me and you can count on the Hamiltons.

We love you and we are thinking about you. We hope you will find comfort in knowing you have an entire family by your side to offer any help in coping with this loss. I wish I were there to give each of you a hug and wish I could offer more than that.

Thanks to you all for so many years of kindness and love.

It's hard to find a person with the integrity, character, and values that Joe possessed.
