Joseph Fuhs

Joseph Fuhs, 77, peacefully passed away on July 22nd. His greatest love was Janet, his wife of 55 years, and his two children, Nick & Arlene. He worked for 3M corporation for many years & was lucky to retire early. Besides living in several different locations while enjoying retirement, he liked cars & auto racing, trains, football (Go Bears !), BBQing, fishing & fixing things. Anyone who knew him would say he had a great sense of humor, but he went beyond that. He always had a kind word to say, was always willing to help with anything & was good to people. Unless he was feeling sarcastic that day of course, and then his dry, wry brand of wit usually had everyone laughing like crazy. He was the kind of guy who would listen to you, then make a joke that housed some kind of insight within the words designed to make you feel better if that was what you needed.

Joe & Janet enjoyed travelling & relaxing in northern Wisconsin & on Sanibel Island in Florida. Throughout it all there was always barbecuing on his many grills. He loved to bbq, smoke & slow cook meat until it was perfect. No one took the time to create a meat masterpiece as well as Joe.

Later years were spent in Missouri, Florida & North Carolina, relaxing, enjoying the grandkids, going for a drive in his Porsche & getting mom out of the house. He will be missed by us all very much.
