Joseph “Joe” Charles Johnson, 60, of Winston Salem, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his residence. Born on December 18, 1964, in Winston Salem, he was the son of the late Julian Neal Johnson and Patsy Payne Johnson.
Joe was a man who never knew a stranger. His smile would like up the room and he was considered a jack of all trades. He enjoyed woodworking and making beautiful cabinets. Joe loved farming, playing his guitar, and listening to different genres of music. A special place in his heart was the beach. Joe married his wife, Marsha, on the beach in Atlantic Beach, NC and they enjoyed spending time there. Joe had a love of animals, and he loved his family first and foremost.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Marsha Jo Clawson; sister, Dana Johnson; nieces, Laura (Terry) and Tara; and numerous friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home in Clemmons, North Carolina. Visitation will follow the service.
