Kathryn Lancaster Hendrix

Winston-Salem- Mrs. Kathryn Virginia Hendrix died on October 9, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 11 AM on Thursday, October 11 at Love’s United Methodist Church in Walkertown, officiated by Pastor John Holmes.

She was born on August 4, 1920 to John Albert and Lola Monteze Spainhour Lancaster. She was a member of Marshall Baptist Church. She married John Hendrix on April 4, 1947.

Mrs. Hendrix was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Mable Walker, Ruth East, Elizabeth Swaim, and brother, John Lester Lancaster. Surviving is her son, John Michael Hendrix; nieces, Monteze East and Patsy Messick; and nephews, John East and Don Swaim.

The family extends their thanks to the staffs of Springwood Care and Forsyth Medical Center (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit) for the care and support of Mrs. Hendrix and her family.
