

Keith Ann was born on October 22, 1941 in Charleston, WV to Keith Alderson “King” Dunlap and Mary Ann Dunn Dunlap. She went to Lewisburg High School and graduated from Greenbrier College. She went to nurses training at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Shortly after, she went to Wake Forest University where she became a nurse anesthetist (CRNA). She worked at Medical Park Hospital for 40 years, retiring in 2008. She loved her work and was exceptionally skilled in her profession, bringing comfort and reassurance to countless patients throughout her career. Her patients always felt safe and always woke up.
She married the love of her life, Tony Monroe Alexander, in 1969, whom she was married to for 56 wonderful years. She is preceded in death by Tony, losing him in December 2025. Keith Ann is survived by her daughters, Laura Hensel and Rachel Larkin (Robert), as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Keith Ann was an active member of Clemmons Moravian Church where she served faithfully on many boards and committees. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, stamping, and gardening. She was an incredibly strong woman with a great sense of humor and was the best mother that ever existed. She will be dearly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 16 at Clemmons Moravian Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 pm. Inurnment will follow in the church's cemetery.
