Kenneth Eugene Barr

Mr. Barr was born on August 23, 1929 in Forsyth County to the late Cosba F. Barr and Jettie Wilkins Barr. He was a retired mechanic at RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 37 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was also preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Barr, and a brother, C.F. Barr.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Donald Barr and Michael Barr (Teresa); Grandchildren: Lindsey Barr (Andrew) Gorbea and Kristen Barr (Bryan) Denny. He is also survived by one brother, Bill Barr (Clara); sister, Florence Hampton; nieces: Jennifer Capron, Jessica Reece, Angie Carter; nephew, Barry Carter and many extended family members. The family would like to thank special caregivers Johnny & Debbie Holder.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Union Hill Baptist Church in Clemmons. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home in Clemmons.
