Kimberly Whiteman

Kimberly Whitman, 59, of Winston-Salem passed away unexpectedly August 20, 2020 at her home. She was born February 19, 1961 in Bucks County, PA. to Walter and Natalie Parfitt Whiteman. She graduated from RJ Reynolds High School and NC State University in 1983. She taught Spanish in the WS/Forsyth County School System and retired after 3o years of service. She also taught Spanish at the School of the Arts. Kimberly loved teaching and making a difference in the lives of all the students she taught. She loved her NCSU Wolfpack and cherished the 1983 National Basketball Championship and being on campus to celebrate. Surviving are her father, of Winston-Salem; her sister, Lisa Gibson and husband, Dave; her Godfather, Robert Parfitt ( and Marigrace Heyer) and a step sister, Melanie Duran and husband, Joe. A private family Celebration of Life Service will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the NC School of the Arts, 1533 S. Main Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or the Forsyth Animal Shelter, 4881 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
