

She was born July 8, 1924 in Forsyth County, a daughter of Houston and Vera McNeil Beamon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of almost 54 years Gerald Lee Vogler, Sr.; two sons, Gerald Lee Vogler, Jr., Grant Beamon Vogler; a great grandson Deklan Hardy; three brothers, Odell, Lawrence, and Stanley Beamon; and one sister, Opal Cooke.
Surviving are three children, Richard Stanley (Diana) Vogler of Advance/Mocksville with whom she made her home and who was her 24/7 caregivers during her illness; prior to her illness she resided with her daughter, Billie (Randy) Humphrey of Clemmons for five years, Dawn (Rob Middleton) Massengill of Advance; eight grandchildren, Gina (Mike) Boone, Sheila Vogler, Jennifer (Wayne) Mabe, Craig (Joanna) Humphrey, Kim (Michael Sheets) Humphrey, Darrell (Hannan) Humphrey, Kristle Vogler, Ashley Teague; two step-grandchildren, Tammy (Mark) Cain, Susie (Chris) Hershey; 11 great-grandchildren, Katie Boone, Courtland and Landon Hardy, Max and Alex Humphrey, Emily, Whyitt, Lakin, Liliana Humphrey, Barrett Sheets, and Aubri Teague; two step-great-grandchildren, Brittany McDaniel, Matthew Cain; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends, Elsie Carrion and Janice James.
Lucille had worked as a cafeteria worker at South Fork School many years ago. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will also be remembered for her beautiful white hair which she had since she was 27 years old.
The family wishes to thank Mountain Valley Hospice, who has been a tremendous help, especially her nurse Margie Willard, and her CNA’s Peggy Shore and Cathy Reece. Richard and Diana would also like to thank their daughters for all the help in caring for their grandmother during her illness.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Frank Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
