

Faye was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She spent more than 30 years working in retail, where she enjoyed serving others and building lasting friendships with customers and coworkers alike.
Faye found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved sewing and making crafts, traveling, spending time outdoors, visiting flea markets, and listening to her favorite hymns. One of her greatest joys was traveling to Texas to visit her beloved sister. She was a member of Clemmons First Baptist Church, where her faith remained a constant source of strength throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William R. Hayes and Anniebell Hayes; her siblings, Jewel Riggan and William Hayes Jr.; and her beloved husband of 47 years, William D. Lassiter.
Faye is survived by her daughters, Cindy Sprouse (Thomas) and Angie Doggett (John); her sisters, Louise Hankins of Texas and Barbara Wagoner; her cherished grandchildren, Emily Walker (Adam), Alexie Cline (Stephen), and Austin Doggett; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Carson Walker, Mason Walker, Evelyn Walker, and Amelia Cline. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
Faye will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering faith, creative spirit, and the love she shared so generously with her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness, devotion, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the lives of those who were blessed to know her.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home in Clemmons. The family will hold a private graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Faye.
