

He was born on July 27, 1931 in Durham, NC a son to the late Martin Alexander Cauble, Sr. and the late Lillie Mae Whitehead. Mr. Cauble was a long time member of Emerywood Baptist Church, and an active volunteer. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. Martin was a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and started his career as a loan officer at First Federal Savings & Loan in Winston-Salem, NC, then moved to High Point as a VP of Mortgage loan and lending at Perpetual Savings. Martin was also an active member of High Point Lions Club for several years. He was an avid Tar heel fan and was known as the first American antique picker and he enjoyed searching for the right antique. Martin was a completely independent spirit and we admired, learned, and will miss his fierce independence he had.
He is survived by two children, Meredith Cauble Chandler and Tom Susnjara of Raleigh and Alex Cauble and Sherry Billings of Winston-Salem; two granddaughters, Madeline Mae Cauble and Emily Campbell and Karen Cauble of Midway, NC.
A celebration of life will be held 11 am, Thursday, October 15th at Emerywood Baptist Church, 1300 Country Club Drive, High Point, NC 27262, with Pastor Meg Lacy officiating. The family will receive friends follow the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emerywood Baptist Church, 1300 Country Club Drive, High Point, NC 27262 in his honor.
