Mary Josephine Hartman

Mrs. Mary Josephine Hartman, 91,of New London, NC died Friday August 2, 2013 at her home. Mary was born August 5, 1921 in Winston-Salem, daughter to the late James Frank Smith and Vera Lora Odell Hook Smith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Eugene Hartman in 1996.

She was employed by and retired from RJ Reynolds. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Don Hartman of Winston-Salem and Clifton Eugene Hartman, Jr. of New London; sister Ophelia Smith Crater of Midway; three grandchildren, Jerry Don Hartman, Jr. and wife Robin, of Mocksville, Andrew Lee Hartman and wife Beth of Midway and Debbie Lynn Hartman of Winston-Salem; five great grandchildren Madelyn, Jackson, Brandy, Clinton, McKenna and one great grandchild Carson.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 7th in the Lee Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 6th at Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home in Clemmons.
