Mary Lois Thorpe Manning

She was born March 12, 1923 in Yadkin, Co. a daughter of Claud and Axie P. Adams Hamlin.

Surviving are one daughter, Laura L. Clement of Pfafftown; one son, David W. Thorpe of Winston-Salem; one grandson, David A. “Andy” Clement of Mocksville; and one sister, Barbara Ann (Van) McSwain of High Point.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Forsyth Quilting Society, and last attended Konnoak Moravian Church.

She was a U.S. Marine Veteran.

A Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Winston-Salem. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service at the mausoleum chapel.
