OBITUARY
Michael Ray Schehr
April 3, 1961 – February 20, 2021
Michael Ray Schehr, beloved husband of Donna Gough Schehr, passed away on Saturday, February 21 unexpectedly at his home in Winston-Salem at the age of 59. He was born on April 3, 1961 in Louisville, KY to Raymond and Suzanne Schehr. In addition to his wife, Donna, and parents, Ray and Sue Schehr, Mike is survived by his children, Christopher Schehr and Chloe Schehr; his sister, Amy Schehr MacDonald (Rick); and his brother, David Schehr (Becca), and his loyal dog, Barkley. Mike spent most of his working years in the medical profession as a sales representative. He taught and trained doctors and nurses how to use the surgical tables he sold. Mike was well respected for his knowledge in the industry. Mike had such a warm personality and was loved by all who knew him. He was light-hearted, witty, and very enjoyable to be around. Mike was an avid fisherman participating in numerous fishing tournaments. Mike thoroughly enjoyed a day on the boat fishing or a day with friends watching the Carolina Panthers playing, but he most enjoyed time spent with his family. Mike’s passing leaves a large void in the hearts of his family and friends, but we are comforted knowing he is in heaven. There will be a private memorial service. Memorials may be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 267, Hamptonville, NC 27020.

So sorry for your loss Donna. So many great memories of time spent with you both. He was a blast to fish with and an artist with a rod in his hand. His quick wit and infectious laugh will never be forgotten. Love from Susi and I.

Sweet Donna,
Chuck and I have always said you and Mike were our coolest neighbors. We reminisce about the great times we spent with you and Mike. The fun times watching football, BBQ on your back deck, going to dinner, and just hanging out. Mike always had great stories to share and had everyone laughing. Mike loved the football snacks Donna and I made for the guys watching the games.
I will always cherish knowing both of you and the kindness and generosity y'all shared with me during our transition back to Texas.
Y'all are once in a life time great neighbors. Mike will truly be missed. You have our love, prayers, and support.

My wife and I met Mike when we moved to Winston Salem NC. He and Donna had just bought a house across the street from us. Mike and Donna were a lot of fun to hang out with, He was great at BBQ, we enjoyed many of them he cooked at their house. Trips to Teds Kicking chicken and a few beers and dinner were always fun . We loved having them over to watch football, that's when he became a HUGE Panthers fan. Always easy going, nothing ever shook Mike. His sense of humor was off the charts. Always had me laughing.
I will miss that and the time we spent with him in NC. Rest easy Mike, I won't forget you!

What a great friend. I will miss Mike, but cherish the many memories we shared. Mike really got the most out of his short time here on earth, always meeting new people, shortly to becoming another friend.
My prayers go out to Donna, his kids, Barks and his wonderful parents. I knew I always had a place to go and be loved around all of them.
