Pearline Howard Markland

She was born March 28, 1924 in Davie County, a daughter of Emuel Samuel and Margaret Geneva Myers Howard. She married Henry Markland.

Surviving are one daughter, Deborah Markland of Advance; four sisters, Maudie Miller, Pansy Myers both of Advance, Rosie Steelman of Lewisville, Linda Sue Hacker of Wilmington, Ohio; one brother, Charlie Samuel Howard of Lewisville; grandchildren, Kenneth Gamble, Brian Gamble, James Gamble, Will Gamble, Shawn Gamble, Christine Gamble, Benjamin “Wayne” Markland, Teresa Lynn Sprinkle, and Adam Joseph (Trina) Markland; and several great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Ella Mae Howard, Thelma Taylor, and Addie Fine, one daughter, Lecy Gamble Manuel, and one son William Cecil Gamble.

She was a homemaker.

Frank Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel are assisting the family with arrangements. Services will be at a later date.
