Raymond Wayne Freeman

Raymond Wayne Freeman, 78, of Kernersville passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He was born December 7, 1941 in Forsyth County to John Roscoe and Bessie Caudle Freeman. Raymond was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Freeman and by five sisters, Ruby Wall, Georgia Parrish, Blanche Cline, Hattie Wood and Annie Pearl Fowler. Surviving are his sister, Margaret Freeman; two nieces, Sandra Spear (Rodney) and Linda Williams; a nephew, Lee Tritt, Jr. (Robin); and a special friend, Peggy Downham. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. There will be a walk through visitation from 12:00 -1:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will speak with friends outside following the graveside service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation in Kernersville. The church will be doing a temperature check and masks will be required.

Raymond was a very dear friend.I will miss him greatly.He was a good influence on me and others in the neighborhood,I have so many fund memories of him and his family and friends,it's a sad day but a glorious day also,No more sickness,prayers and thoughts be with the family and friends.R.I.P MY ole friend.
