Obituary of Richard Allen Wolff
IN THE CARE OF

Frank Vogler & Sons

Richard “Ric” Allen Wolff Sr. died unexpectedly at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on August 7th, 2020 in Winston-Salem,NC. He was 74.

Mr. Wolff was born on May 14, 1946 in Youngstown, OH to his parents, William F Wolff Sr. and Alice Moore Wolff. He graduated from Boardman High School as a part of the Class of 1964. He then went on to attend Cornell University briefly where he played football before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps and serving our Country in the Vietnam War. He married Glenda Jean Stoops on November 22, 1969. He spent the better part of his career in the trucking industry with his beginnings rooted in the family business, Youngstown Cartage Company.

Mr. Wolff was an avid golfer and loved nothing better than a good time with family trips centered on amusement parks and deep sea fishing. He loved to entertain and be surrounded by family and friends. He dreamed of traveling in his retirement and would have loved to hit the open road in an RV.

Mr. Wolff is survived by his wife of almost 51 years, Glenda Wolff of Advance, NC; his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Stephanie Wolff of Kernersville, NC; his daughter and son-in-law, Derek and Jessica Spencer of High point, NC; his brother and sister-in-law, William and Barbara Wolff Jr. of Loudon,TN; and his two dear grandchildren, Chase and Addison Spencer of High Point, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice Wolff, and his sister Martha Stanyard.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Davie County Animal Shelter or Hospice of Davie County.
