My great Aunt Sarah was one of the most caring, congenial, loving, sweet ladies I have ever known. I have great memories with her even though I didn't know her very long. The fact that she lived in Florida and I was adopted out of the family put our relationship on hold for a while. But when we started our relationship, we fell in love with each other. One of the best times I remember is when she, Aunt Loretta and I would visit her sister, Betty in Charlotte. I loved sitting and listening to those three talk and reminisce about the old days and talk about everything in general. She and I had some fun visits at her house on Folkstone. When I would get ready to leave she would always say "You could just spend the night." And sometimes I did. We could talk endlessly and I would always go home feeling like I had been with more than a friend and Aunt. I have been and will miss her sweetness and kindness to me. I did not like her being sick and unable to live as fully as she would have liked but now she is not in pain or missing any of her family who was so precious to her. She is with our Lord and Savior. I am a better person having known Aunt Sarah.

I will always remember my visit with Brenda to your home in Deerfield Beach, Florida. You were a wonderful hostess and we had a great time. You were there for Brenda until the very end and showed what kind of loving aunt you were. Rest in Peace kind lady.

My deepest condolences to the family of Sarah Ellis.
Sarah and her late husband Paul were dear close friends with my parents since they were little kids! My Dad (Gene Brooks) & I would visit them in Boca Raton whenever he would go to Florida to visit me. Then after Paul passed, and Sarah moved to Winston, I continued to stay in touch and visit, sometimes with my mother (Barbara Brooks Smith), after my Father passed. She was a very dear, sweet, and caring lady. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Sincere love and thoughts
Sharon Brooks
