Sarah Haire Reece

She was born September 22, 1917 in Stokes County, a daughter of John Stokes and Corabel Reece Haire. She married Ira Reece. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Haire and John Curtis Haire.

Surviving are two brothers, George (Lena, deceased) Haire and Charles (Carol) Haire; and several nieces and nephews.

Sarah worked as a Freight Agent and Telegraph Operator for Southern Railway Systems for 34 years until her retirement.

She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Mocksville until she had to take residence at a nursing home.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2013 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. Frank Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
