

Stanford Huey Dillon, Jr., 70, of Winston-Salem passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on January 19, 1942 and was preceded in death by his parents, Stanford Huey Dillon, Sr. and Ruby Crutchfield Dillon; and his brother Johnny A. Dillon and his wife Carla Dillon. He is survived by his son Michael E. Dillon (daughter-in- law Tina) of New London, NC; daughter Shannon Dillon Mitchell (son-in-law Jeff) of Lewisville, NC; grandsons Austin and Ty Dillon; Hunter and Brayden Mitchell; his sister Rebecca Dillon Graves (her husband Junior) of Blunt, South Dakota; the mother of his children and friend Jamie Dillon Vaden of Lewisville; nephew Scott Dillon of Raleigh; niece Ann Graves Holman (her husband Ryan) of South Dakota; nephews Joshua Graves of South Dakota and Nicholas Graves of Alaska; and his cherished friend and companion for over twelve years, Angela Russell of Clemmons. He served as an Airman in the Air Force, and retired as a Mill Operator for RJR. He loved motorcycles, Nascar, football, sports, and moments with his children and grandchildren. He cherished times and "shagging" with his friends where he was a huge part of the Winston-Salem Shag Club as a dedicated member. He was a devoted father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Frank Vogler & Sons Clemmons Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorials be made to Kate B.
