Violet Shinault Mitchell

Mrs. Mitchell was a wonderful wife, mother, and sister.

She was an active member at Marshall Baptist Church until a period of declining health.

She enjoyed embroidery and making quilts; and taking care of the elderly after her retirement from Hanes Hosiery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Mitchell; brothers, Rufus, Ted, and Daniel Shinault; and sisters, Beatrice Wall, Mary Ray, Betty Kiger, Evelyn Shinault, and Wilma Marion.

She is survived by daughter, Doris Tally (Bill) of Winston-Salem; sisters, Mabel Beck (Paul) of Stanleyville, NC, Bonnie Rowinsky (Bob), Faith Shinault, and Ruby Shinault, all of Mt. Airy, NC; and special friend, Henry Snow.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Megan, Kendra, Mary Beth, Glenda, and Leslie from Hospice.

A funeral service will be Sunday, December 2, 2012, 2:00pm, at Marshall Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday, December 1, 2012, 6:00-8:00 pm, at Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel.

Burial will follow the service at Forsyth Memorial Park.
