Dear Barb & Family, I just heard of Al's passing from Marilyn Goodman and I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I haven't kept in touch with him but I have kept him in my mind.

When I  first  saw the notice on my Facebook, I showed Allens picture to my wife, and said....Honey look, I grew up with Allen...one of my childhood buddies.  Then my heart sank.  I realized he had passed on.  What should I say, I asked?  Well, im a better person, just by knowing him.   He liteup the room when present.  You couldnt help but smile and laugh along with him.  I remember his stunt....UP PARISCOPE...what a guy.  Your SPIRIT will live with us all Allen.  All who were fortunate to know you...are blessed.  Rest in piece good friend.  We love you!

Mrs. Harris: Sorry to hear about the loss of Allan. we go back some 60+ years when we played on a baseball team called the Dukes. Allan was a good pitcher and his father was the manager! I haven't seen much of Allan (we called him Al) over the years...maybe the last time when he was running a beverage store in Bedford Hts...I've always remembered his enthusiasm and his infectious smile....they were his calling card. I've always known him to be a good person who I'm sure will be sorely missed. The best to you & your family. Guy Gentiluomo

If you needed someone to brighten up your day It  was always Al. The four of us remained close friends for 60 years and I will miss him . We will always remember him not only as good friend but someone who would always make any day seem so much better. How can we forget him dressed in a
grass skirt, mop on his head (for hair) and 2 ballons sticking out of a cut off bra and singing "honey bun" from South Pacific. Only Al could pull that off.Rest in piece buddy.

I was so sorry to hear about Al's passing.  I only knew him for a short time through the Senior Center where my mom goes for lunch.  I loved his jokes and his stories and his smile.  He talked a lot about his family and how proud he was of each of you.  May you all find peace in knowing how much he loved you and how proud he was of you.

I am deeply sorry to read about Al. He work with me as a courier at Hillcrest. I will remember his jokes. He was so proad of his family. Always talking about his children and grandchildren. My deepest sympathy to you and your family!!!!
