Andrew “Andy” Michael Cowan loved playing guitar and telling stories. Son to Charlotte Jaffe and Richard Cowan. A third generation, life-long Shakerite, he had a trove of life stories and loved to make people laugh. Andy was a devoted caretaker to his mother Charlotte and considered it a privilege to help her in her later years. He enjoyed playing guitar, hanging out with his kids, and his dog Trouble. He loved a good ribeye steak, Geracis pizza, and The Godfather. Andy was a guitar aficionado, and his favorite guitarist was Stevie Ray Vaughan. He is survived by his mother Charlotte, children, Jesse, Mia, Spencer, and Reed, grandchildren Grant, Audrey, Lou, and Johann and siblings Patty and David. Andy was generous and kind, truly a gentle soul. He is and forever will be greatly missed. Rest easy dad. The celebration of life will take place on Saturday, August 8, from 11-2 at Lang Pavilion (3800 Chagrin River Road).
