Ann G Newman

Ann was the daughter of Sidney and Ethel Goodman and the beloved sister of Margaret Goodman Huchet (deceased). She was the devoted wife of Charles L. Newman; together they shared an extraordinary 74½ years of marriage. shared experiences.

She was the cherished mother of Margaret Ann Adelman (Richard Adelman) and Dr. Janet Rae Newman (Michael Wise), and the loving grandmother of Noah Harry Wise and Emma Elizabeth Wise. Ann was also a caring aunt to her nieces: Nicole Huchet (Rob Price), Susan Huchet, Ellen Terry Stein (Leslie Stein), and the late Jill Massinger.

Ann attended Oberlin College for two years before marrying Charles. She then transferred to and graduated from Western Reserve University. Her professional life included work at the Cleveland Museum of Art, followed by a decade at the Bertram Woods Library.

An avid reader with a keen intellectual curiosity, Ann found great joy in art museums, especially those with collections of Far Eastern art. She was also a skilled needlepointer, crafting pieces with the same patience and attention to detail she brought to all aspects of her life.

Ann will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her inquisitive mind, and the deep love she held for her family.
