
Audrey A. Galvin (nee Black), 94, of Boynton Beach, Fla., passed away Jan. 26, 2024. Born June 14, 1929, in Massachusetts to Sam and Esther Black (both now deceased), Audrey’s family moved to Toronto when she was young. After growing up in Toronto, where she met her husband of 73 years, Gerry, she then moved to Cleveland in 1935 where she lived for 55 years.
While in Cleveland, the family attended services at B’nai Jeshurun Congregation. She was also involved with ORT. Audrey also enjoyed playing tennis, but was happiest when she was with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Audrey is survived by her children, Jonathan (Tami) Galvin of Boca Raton, Fla., Marta (Vern) Glassman of Delray Beach, Fla., and Stephen (Shelly) Galvin of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandchildren Aaron (Amy) Galvin, Jared (Jenna) Galvin, Evan Glassman, Lauren Glassman, Jordan (Mallory) Galvin, Jessica (Spencer) Pariser and Cameron Galvin; and great-grandchildren Mia Galvin, Lana Galvin, Jordana Galvin, Jace Galvin, Asher Fellman, Hudson Fellman, Shai Fellman, Jonah Galvin and Cooper Pariser.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gerald, of 73 years. Private services were held Feb. 2 in Cleveland.
