Lichaw, Bette (nee Polster) Age 89. Beloved wife of Melvin (deceased); devoted mother of Richard and Felice (deceased); dear sister of Erv (Roselee) Polster and Leonard (Cecelia) Polster; loving aunt of Sarah Polster (deceased), Adam (Kathy) Polster, Scott (Cindy) Polster, Keith (Cynthia) Polster, Pam (Harry) Tepper, Myra (Arthur) Schnur, Rhoda Leshowitz; loving great aunt and great, great aunt to many. Mrs. Lichaw came to Cleveland from Czechoslovakia as an infant and graduated from Glenville High School in 1941. She was a deputy clerk for Judge Ostrovsky at the Cleveland HTS. Municipal Court while briefly caring for her father, Joseph while being a loving wife and mother. She then worked for Jewish Vocational Services and the Bureau of Jewish Education. After her retirement she became active at Park Synagogue sisterhood, Jewish Children’s Foster Home and assisted Fred Crawford with his biography. Services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS., Sunday, July 15 at 11:00 A.M. Interment Bet Olam Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the residence, 27200 Cedar Rd. #401 (Myers Apartments) IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING INTERMENT SUNDAY UNTIL 5 P.M. & 7- 9 P.M. and MONDAY-TUESDAY 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Contributions are suggested to Park Synagogue.
