March 18, 1937 — March 24, 2026
Beverly Connie Goldfarb Ludwig Fisher, a woman of remarkable strength, intellectual curiosity and love of family and friends, passed away peacefully at her home in Beachwood, Ohio, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Born in Cleveland to Julius and Gertrude Goldfarb, Beverly remained a proud Clevelander throughout her life. On May 28, 1957, she married Harvey Ludwig, with whom she built a vibrant life, raised three daughters and shared a passion for travel, golf and tennis.
Beverly was never one to rest on her laurels. After her daughters left for college, she earned a B.S. in Psychology and later pursued a law degree. Following Harvey’s death, Beverly found meaningful work, serving as the Development Coordinator for the Diabetes Association of Cleveland. While there, she grew their development program, inspired new donors and found a circle of wonderful co-workers who became dear friends.
Outside of work, Bev found great joy on the golf course, playing until just months before her death. She was more than an avid golfer; Beverly was extremely talented. Other players always commented on her beautiful swing with a combination of awe and envy. Beverly repeatedly won the AA Championship at Beechmont Country Club. Most importantly, she looked forward to spending time with the many friends whom she loved playing with.
Beverly was blessed to find love again with Stanley Fisher. The two married on August 29, 1997. They enjoyed many years together, traveling, golfing, and creating a second home in Naples, Florida. Between the two of them they shared 14 grandchildren, all of whom lovingly referred to her as Maggie.
Seven years ago, Beverly proved once more that the heart has no age limit when she found love and companionship in her 80’s with Larry Edelman. Their relationship was a joyful final chapter filled with laughter and the quiet comfort of a kindred spirit. They spent countless hours golfing, playing gin and watching Hallmark or Lifetime movies together. Their friends and family reveled in their newfound relationship and were touched by the love and care Larry provided after her cancer diagnosis.
Beverly is survived by Larry Edelman, her daughters Jodi Boyette (Richard, deceased), Cathy Ludwig (Steve Wissak) and Tracey Weingarten (Michael), Richard Fisher (Louise Freymann), Lee Fisher (Peggy Zone Fisher), Suzanne Fisher (Steve Miller), Barbara Fisher (Michael Scott), Amy Einhorn (Ted), Richard Edelman (Kathryn), grandchildren Elias Kahan (Taylor), Gabriel Rosen (Jon), Cameron Kahan, Alex Weingarten, Lanie Weingarten, Jason Fisher (Katelyn), Jessica Cross (Bobby), Zachary Scott (Coley Nelson), Kyle Scott (Juliea Steinberg), Kate Storey Fisher, Ry Fisher (Shireen Teharanian), Maya Kase, Emma Miller, Aidan Miller, great-grandchildren Cora Kahan, Ridley Rosen, Violet Fisher, Dylan Fisher, Riley Scott.
