Carol M. Berger, a warm and welcoming presence at Menorah Park for 40 years, passed away last week in Florida at the age of 94. Whether answering the phone or greeting visitors at the reception desk, Carol made everyone feel welcome.
Carol loved to sing along with her late husband, Ralph. She loved dining and performing at restaurants around Cleveland and in Winter Haven, Florida, especially during the years when the Indians held spring training there. She enjoyed her retirement in Florida and was appointed Ambassador of Music at the Arbors assisted living facility where she was adored by the staff.
Carol will be deeply missed by her son, Jeff (Joyce) Berger; her daughter, Lori Padgett; her grandchildren, Matthew (Clarice) Berger, Bethany (Andrew) Coppens, and Stephanie (Michael Lancelotti) Berger and Drew Padgett; and her great-grandchildren, Cruise and Saylor Coppens, Sienna and Milo Lancelotti. She was also a dear friend of the late, renowned Cleveland sportswriter Hal Lebowitz.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Berger, and her brother, Gerald Brust.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 21st, at 10:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olive Cemetery, 27855 Aurora Road, Solon.
May her memory be a blessing.
