Carole Anne Resnick was born on February 11, 1945, to Beverly (Cornsweet) Resnick and Fred Resnick. Carole was a lifelong resident of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Carole graduated from Cleveland Heights High School. Carole obtained her B.A., as well as her M.A. from The Iowa State University, and her PhD. from Cleveland State University in Psychology. She was employed at Cleveland State University as a professor of Calculated Mathematics.
Many knew Carole as an avid baker and creator of unique recipes. She often was the recipient of First Place Ribbons and awards for her creative pastries and entrees. She won contests from the likes of, Betty Crocker and Better Homes and Gardens.
The only thing Carole loved more than recipes was, The Chairman of the Board, Frank Sinatra. There is no exaggeration to say that she owned every single album and CD from the past 50 years. Even during her health challenges, a Frank Sinatra tune could put a smile on her face, while her feet tapped to the music. Her favorite song was “Fly Me to The Moon”.
The only thing Carole loved more than Frank, was her precious, Cracker Jaxx. A spunky and energetic, Jack Russell. Cracker is 14 years old and still as fiery as ever. She truly misses her “Mommy”.
The person who Carole loved – to the moon and back – was, the love of her life, Alvin Singer. Carole’s constant companion of more than 40 years. Not only did they share wonderful and exciting experiences, but Alvin was also faithfully committed to her care and well-being throughout this past year. Never complaining, his support, encouragement and dedication to the quality of her life was his soul purpose. The strongest advocate anyone could ask for. Carole was blessed to have him by her side.
Carole had a spit-fire personality. She was witty and fun. She got the job done. And, if she really liked you, she might share a recipe or two with you.
Carole leaves to mourn: her brother, Michael Resnick, Alvin, Loretta and Goshen H., Judy, Linda, Ursula, Louie, Issac and a host of wonderful Facebook Friends.
Carole will be greatly missed.
