I remember Mrs. Turoff from years ago. It was in the 1970s and I had to interview a community activist for a social studies class when I was in junior high school. She was a columnist for the newpaper dealing with women's rights as I recall. I remember a pretty, smart lady with a classy image. She was busy getting one of her four young daughters ready to make a "bat mitzvah" and explained to us three Catholic girls what that was and meant. She impressed us as a cool mom that seemed to be engaged with everything and everyone. She must have been a fantastic role model for the children in her life and a blessing to all she met! May you cherish your memories of such a wonderful lady!

My deepest condolences. Carole was a dear, dear friend and mentor.

I am so very sorry for your loss. However, your mom will live on in the hearts, mind and memories of all she touched.

Jack, Elana, Avril & family,

We are very sad to learn about Carole. So much that she accomplished and certainly helped her family do the same.

Jack:

We will miss Carole's never-ending feistiness from the first day we met (was it to prepare three of us to be bridesmaids in yours and Carole's wedding?) to the end.

She was and remained a very modern woman long before others understood what that meant.

Much love and deepest condolences to Jack, Hyleri, Raechel, Elana, Avril and the extended family.

Cousins Barbara, Susan, Shelley, and Amy, and of course, Shirley Metzenbaum

So Sorry to hear of Carole's passing. I have always felt so connected to you all and have loved you all so much and am so grateful for everything. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

I was glad to have been one of those to be with Carole at Menorah Park and the Seidman center at UH just prior to her passing. It was wonderful to see her huge family all there with her, especially all her grandchildren. That tells the story, without words, of who Carole was. I am honored to have been her friend and a friend of her family for so many years and glad that I was able to be present with her huge and loving family near the end. My deepest sympathy to Carole's loving family.

Dearest family, thank you for making us part of your family for all of these years. She was one of the most incredibly special women we all have known

Dear family, my sincere condolences go out to you all. She was a loving dear mother, and I share some endearing childhood memories of her that I will cherish. Thoughts are with you all.
