Charles Abraham Ross

Charles “Chuck” Abraham Ross, 91, of Solon, OH, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, surrounded by love at his home in Solon, OH. He was born on July 28, 1933, in Flint, MI, to Harry and Minna Ross, of blessed memory.

Chuck was a loving and devoted husband, proud and supportive father, gentle and doting grandfather, and warm, kind, and humorous friend to all he met. An Army combat medic during the Korean War, he devoted his life to studying and working to support his family, his love of sports, poker, movies, and loud & loving meals around the dinner table. He was known for his quick smile and sense of humor, magnetic charm, love of all things chocolate, dedication to acts of loving-kindness, and above all else, menschkeit.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Triest, children Kymberly Ross and Robert Ross, daughter-in-law Maggie Wise, granddaughter Olive Ross, brother Dr. Bernard Ross (Violet Ross, deceased), sister Florence Ross Shaw (Melvin Shaw, deceased), and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Ross Ellison (James Ellison, deceased).

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Congregation Mishkan Or, 26000 Shaker Blvd, Beachwood at 11:00 AM.
