OBITUARY

Craig Irwin Baron

October 21, 1959November 30, 2019

Craig Irwin Baron, age 60, of University Heights, Ohio died suddenly on November 30, 2019. Craig was born October 21, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Beloved son of Lois and Russell Baron of Cleveland Heights and brother of Hallie Baron of San Francisco, predeceased by brothers Joshua and Stephen Baron.

He was wacky, funny and curmudgeonly; an ardent socialist/anarchist; an avid antique gun collector; a lover of all animals, especially cats; a war historian; a lover of mystery novels; a wanna-be Ramones guitarist; an avid gardener and watcher of birds; and a great friend and wonderful brother, son, nephew and cousin.

He will be sorely missed and the world will be a little quieter, sadder and lonelier without him. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

To honor his memory, please consider making a donation to the Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.bkbmc.com for the Baron family.

Dear Lois and Russell,

I wish that I had a memory of Craig to share but I didn't know him and that is my loss. He must have been a wonderful and unique person.

Your loss, however, is what concerns me because I cannot even contemplate the depth of your anguish. If knowing that so many of our hearts ache for you is any help, then be assured that they do.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him and even by those of us who only know you. Whatever recovery is possible, I hope it will bring you some comfort and peace.

My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Dear Russell, Lois, Hallie and extended family.... my heart is breaking along with yours....I cannot imagine life without this dear man. My sincerest condolences to you all. I spent many, many days and evenings with Craig, he was my dearest, best friend and I want to confirm what you already know, he cared deeply for you all and constantly shared all the family updates with me. My only solace is that I believe he is in a beautiful place free from his daily chronic pain that he suffered with and that we will all see him again. Until that glorious reunion, I pray for comfort and strength throughout the coming days, months and years. Shalom.
