Cynthia Charms

August 30, 1958 – March 7, 2026

Cynthia Lynn Charms passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the age of 67.

Born on August 30, 1958, to Bernard and Esther Charms, Cynthia was known for her warm spirit and her ability to find joy in the simple moments of everyday life. She was a dedicated sign language provider who cared deeply about helping others communicate and connect. Cynthia enjoyed spending time playing board games—especially Scrabble—and sharing laughter and companionship with family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved son, Toby Nowak; her brother, Steven Charms (Susan); her step-sister, Valerie Mason (Todd); and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Esther Charms, and her brother, Matthew Charms.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cynthia’s memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Zion Memorial Park.

Shiva will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the community room at the Daughters of Miriam, 1 David Parkway, Beachwood, Ohio.

Professional services are under the direction of Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
