A lifelong IT professional, Daryl spent over 40 years in the field, witnessing its infancy and growing alongside it through continual learning from various periodicals. He was also a history aficionado, with a special love for the history of Washington, DC. He lived in Washington DC as a young adult, but he grew up in Kansas and Maryland.
A proud “Momma’s boy,” Daryl was deeply close to his family, especially his mom and his stepmoms, as well as his Aunt Marguerite, whom he cherished dearly.
Daryl was predeceased by his wife, Rachel, mother, Paula Williams, sister Crystal Thornton, stepmother, Debra Thornton and great nephew, August Slebzack. He will be dearly missed by his father, Daryl (Sandra) Thornton, sisters, Shelly Schaufele and Wren (Alicia) Romano and nieces Kat and Trinity Schaufele and Faith Collins.
