A passionate antique collector, Daryle amassed a remarkable collection of items from the past, many of which retained their value. She was also an accomplished pianist and a lover of music, as well as an avid traveler who explored the world. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Daryle was a movie enthusiast and appeared as an extra in three films: Those Lips, Those Eyes, The Escape Artist, and One Trick Pony.
When she wasn't hunting for antiques or enjoying her performances, Daryle helped manage the family businesses, North Coast Cutlery and Nielsen-Mayer Fine Gifts, before retiring.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Sean (Kelli) Nielsen-Mayer and Josh (Paige) Nielsen-Mayer, grandchildren, Cian (Kat), Kyla, JJ, Evelyn, and Elliana, great grandson, Miles, brother Neil Shack, nephew Steven Shack, and niece, Rachel Shack. She was predeceased by her sister, Linda Shack-Williams and parents, Saul Shack and Seville Flacks and former husband, Jorgen Nielsen-Mayer.
