David Genshaft

David Genshaft, born in Vitebsk, Russia in 1916, a graduate of McKinley HS (Canton) and William McKinley Law School, executive of Superior Brand Meats, served in US Army in WWII in the Middle East. Storyteller, humorist, author, philanthropist, avid tennis player and golfer. A Florida resident, formerly of Canton and Beachwood, he died peacefully at Montefiore Home. Beloved husband of the late Anne (nee Klein). Loving father of Nelson (Carole) Genshaft, Debra (Stephen) Kalette, Steven (Robin) Genshaft and Jeffrey (Regina Myer) Genshaft. Devoted grandfather of Lindsay, Ben (Alyssa Shenk) Genshaft , Tracy (Scott) Kozak, Lauren Kalette, Daniel (Taryn Wittlin) Kalette, Dr. Scott Genshaft, Jodi (Justin Wahn) Genshaft, Alex and Isabelle Genshaft. Great grandfather of Sophie, Eli Jack, Max, Theo and Sasha. Dear brother of Eleanor Sirak and the late Arthur Genshaft. Dear companion of Cindy Golub. Services will be held Wednesday October 26 at 11AM at the BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL 1985 S.Taylor Rd. Cleveland Heights. Interment Canton Hebrew Cemetery (2331 Central Ave. SE Canton,OH). FOLLOWING SERVICES AND INTERMENT, family will receive friends at the residence of Steve and Robin Genshaft 1103 Kenwood Circle NE Canton,OH UNTIL 9:00 PM.
