David J. Richter

David Jay Richter passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026 at the age of 87. He was born April 4,1939 to the late Bernard and Clara (Kemelhar). David was the beloved husband of Bernice (nee Filler). He was the devoted father of Terry Pritchard (deceased), Danny Pritchard and Michael Pritchard (Susan Trimmer). Loving Grandfather of Matthew (Cara) Pritchard, Steven Pritchard and Laurie (Joshua) Schlaich. Loving Great-Grandfather of Gabrielle Pritchard, Cohen and Brooklyn Schlaich. Preceded in death by brothers Bruce (Edith) Richter, Harvey and Karen Richter (both deceased) and sister Nancy and Sheldon Taubman (both deceased). He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who just adored him.

After graduating from Cleveland Heights High School where he excelled in track, David went to Dyke College. He had a successful photography business and was a record setting car salesman for many years. David and Bernice also just celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage! David enjoyed watching all Cleveland Sports teams and was known for his exceptional kindness to others.

Graveside Services will be Tuesday, September 15th at 1:00pm at Mt. Olive Cemetery 27855 Aurora Rd, Solon Ohio 44139.
