Debbra L. Brown

June 27, 1947 Died, April 24, 2025

Debbra will be missed and remembered dearly by her husband James Mitchell Brown who she was married to for almost 55 years. She was loved by her children; Lizbeth Morgan (Richard) of Buena Vista, Colorado, Melissa Lawrence (Todd) of Shaker Heights and Justin (Andi) of Bend, Oregon; sister of Alan Shapiro (Marjorie) sister-in-law of Marjorie Reimer and Robert Brown (Julie); loving and cherished grandmother of Wade and Daisy Lawrence and Milo Brown; aunt to many.

Debbra attended Monticello Junior College for Women, Ohio State University, Cleveland Institute of Art and the New York Institute of Photography. She was a teacher at Carol Nursery School and active volunteer and served on the boards of numerous organizations. She was particularly active in organizations promoting social justice.

Debbra pursued her art career with dedication and passion. She was a multi-media artist known for her metal sculptures, paper sculptures, felt sculptures, photography, painting, enameling, and jewelry making. She received numerous awards and commendations from her work going back to her days in the 60's at a Central Park Photography exhibit.

She always felt that every piece of art she created was part of her. In later years she loved seeing her home filled with art she had created.

Shiva will be at the residence, 23489 Duffield Rd, Shaker Hts., IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING SERVICES UNTIL 5PM & 7-9PM and TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY 2-5PM & 7-9PM
