For Harris and family,

We share the sense of an 
incomprehensible and profound loss.  

Diana was one very special person.  She was about both mind and heart. She was gracious, loving, and generous of spirit.  
She was strong and gentle, smart and modest, warm and nurturing, artistic and talented in so many ways.

I knew her as a friend with whom to ride a bike at 14;  look up to in school; share pride together in our newborns Brian and Robert and follow the evolution of our kids and 
their kids; and with whom to exchange an amazing hug almost six decades later.  Her hugs reverberated; her smile could illuminate a room.  

None of us will ever forget her - and will always see her smile and feel her hugs, 
keep her memory close to our hearts.   And deeply miss her.

It was so sad to hear of Diana's death. She was a shining light in our class at Flushing High in Queens, New York--our brilliant valedictorian but more than that, a lovely, caring person. 

It was so delightful to see her again at our 50th (and first ever) class reunion in 2008 back in Flushing and then again at a small reunion in Santa Monica the following year. 

My condolences go out to Harris and to the entire Taylor family.

Sending my condolences to Diana's family.  I was fortunate to be a friend of Diana's when we were students at Flushing High School.  We used to play tennis at Memorial Field until it was nearly dark.  It was so hard to stop playing when we were having such fun.....

For Bob Kahn...and Diana's Family,

   I was deeply saddened when I learned today of Diana's passing. I am so sorry for this huge loss. 
    Bob, you may remember that my parents, Rabbi and Mrs. Harry Katchen, and yours were good friends, especially in the later years of their lives.  And of course Alan Katchen is my brother.
    I remember Diana as sweet, kind, and an incredibly good student.  I recall that as I was about to go into a chemistry class at Flushing High one day, Diana was leaving the earlier class taught by the same teacher. The gray-haired teacher, a German Jewish refugee, walked behind Diana, put her hands in prayer position, turned her head upward and said aloud  "God, why don't you send me more like Diana?"  She was a rare, brilliant, beautiful person.
   Bob, I hope that your loving memories of your dear sister will help sustain you during this difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear about Diana's passing.  She was the valedictorian of our class (Flushing High School '58).  Please accept my sincere condolences.

Though we met Diana infrequently through her brother, Robert Kahn, she impressed us with her intelligence, energy, beauty of spirit and competence. We know she will be greatly missed but warmly remembered by all who knew her, most especially her closest family and friends.
