Dmitriy Pokras, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the age of 92. He was born in Cherkassy, Ukraine, to Gregory and Nina Pokras on January 17, 1933.
Dmitriy was known for his deep love of family, his hands-on skills, and his passion for technology in his engineering career. A true handyman, he could fix nearly anything and was always eager to share his knowledge with those around him. He had a particular fondness for watching television, a pastime that brought him joy and comfort in his later years.
Dmitriy leaves behind his loving wife, Lyudmila, his son, Vladimir Pokras (Inna), and his cherished grandchild, Stan Pokras (Ewyn) and great-grandchildren, Ellis and Nolan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
His funeral service will be held at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
Dmitriy’s memory will be forever treasured by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
