Dolores "Dee" Hartzmark (nee Ringle) age 89 passed away on December 13, 2019 in Delray Beach, Florida. Born March 18, 1930 to Sylvia Ringle (nee Bader) and Sam Ringle she graduated from Cleveland Heights High School before she earned her BA from Flora Stone Mather College and her MSW from John Carroll University. Dee served as President of the Mount Sinai Hospital Women’s Auxiliary as well as a Member of the Board of Mount Sinai Hospital. A lifelong member of The Temple Tifereth Israel she was active in their sisterhood. She also demonstrated her dedication to the Jewish community by contributing her time and resources to Hadassah and The Jewish Federation where she was a member of the Lions of Judah. Her lifetime belief in the importance of education motived her to endow, along with her husband, The Lee and Dolores Hartzmark Library and the Hartzmark Center, where students can study Jewish art, religion, and culture at The Temple-Tifereth Israel. Along with her community involvement, Dee was an avid golfer and an accomplished bridge player who competed at the master level well into her 80’s.
She was the beloved wife of the late Lee "Pat" Hartzmark. Loving mother of Michael (Gini) Hartzmark and the late Debra (Howard) Jacobs. Devoted grandmother of Samuel (Amanda) Hartzmark, John Hartzmark, JoAnna Hartzmark, Adam (Kristen) Jacobs and Douglas (Emily) Jacobs. Great-grandmother of Maxwell Hartzmark. Dear sister of Sharon (Yoash) Wiener. Services will be held Sunday, December 15 at 2 PM at The Temple-Tifereth Israel, 26000 Shaker Blvd. Beachwood, OH. Interment Mayfield Cemetery.
