For many years, Douglas generously provided treats to the hundreds of children who came to the synagogue to learn from his wife, Linda, a teacher there for 54 years. His kindness made him a beloved part of the Suburban Temple community.
Douglas worked for the Federal Reserve Bank for 30 years before spending 20 years as a door-to-door meat salesman, primarily in Ohio’s Amish communities. He loved telling jokes, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was a passionate Cleveland sports fan.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Linda; his children, Jennifer (Brett) Erickson and Benjamin (Rebecca) Wolfe; and his grandchildren, Camille, Norah, and Dylan Erickson. He was predeceased by his brother, James.
A family-only interment service will take place on Wednesday, October 28th, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Suburban Temple, 22401 Chagrin Blvd., Beachwood. Shiva will follow immediately and continue until 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Suburban Temple and designated for the Linda Wolfe Talmud Torah Fund.
