Edith (Edie) Delman, 77, died peacefully in Cleveland on July 7, 2026, surrounded by her family. Her death came after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Brent; her sons Geoffrey (Susan) and Jamie (Thomas Azzarella); grandchildren Nathan, Eli, and Kayla; siblings Sylviane Gold (Larry Simonberg, deceased), Henry Gold (Barbara Lederman), and Steve Gold (Jennifer Aley); family in New York, France, Israel, and beyond; and by many dear friends that she thought of as family. During her 30+ year career, she was a no-nonsense, beloved math teacher. She was sharp and funny and she didn’t suffer fools. Edie was indefatigable; she always had time and energy to give to those she loved– especially her grandchildren. They were her light. She also had a special place in her heart for her dogs and grand-dogs, past and present. She liked good coffee, good food, and good company. And the beach was her happy place. She was a vibrant force of nature and the glue that held our family together. She will be profoundly missed.
