

ROBINS Edwin M. Robins passed away February 11, at the age of 89. Ed was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 14,1927 where he married Helene Goldberg on August 18,1951. They were married 61 Years. Ed is survived by his children Michael Robins, Joel (Marla) Robins and Shari (Hannah Estrin) Robins. Devoted grandfather of Eliana and Odelya. Dear brother of the late Henry, Walter and Norman. His true passion lied in his work with the Jewish War Veterans and was a member of the Paul A. Rosenblum Post 44. He was the commander on post and county levels and eventually rose to National JWV Commander in 2009. During which time he met twice with President Barack Obama. He was selected as Man of The Year by several posts and in 2010 by the NY Police Department Shomrim Society.. In 2006, Ed was elected to the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame. Service to others was his highest value. He had more the 8,000 registered volunteer hours spanning 30 years at VA Hospitals and served for more than 20 years as National Service Officer representing and assisting the needs of veterans. Services will be held Tuesday, February 14 at 10 AM at the BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL 1985 S. Taylor Rd., Cleveland Heights, OH. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Homestead Suites, 6085 Enterprise Pkwy., Solon, OH TUESDAY FOLLOWING SERVICES UNTIL 8PM. BEGINNING WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY FAMILY WILL RECEIVE AT THE RESIDENCE OF MARLA AND JOEL ROBINS 7568 Tiber Ct., Macedonia, OH TUESDAY EVENING AND WEDNESDAY EVENING 6 PM-8 PM.
