Elaine Freedman, age 97, passed away peacefully over the weekend. A lifelong learner, a woman of strong will and determination, she was a wonderful homemaker for most of her life, devoted to her four sons and beloved husband, Charles (OBM).

She was also a devoted caretaker to her mother for 40 years, ensuring she never had live alone by providing love and support in her own home.
In her later years, Elaine moved to Brookdale of Mentor, where she assumed a leadership role among the residents, earning the nickname “Mayor” of Brookdale. She was admired for her wisdom, leadership, and the strong following she cultivated among her fellow residents.
Elaine will be dearly missed by her sons, Mark, Richard (Lynda), and Matthew. She was predeceased by her husband Charles, her son Gary, and her brothers Jay Jaffe and Alvin Jaffe.
