It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Elaine (Dolinsky) Freireich at the age of 94. Elaine was the daughter of Abraham and Sylvia Dolinsky (both deceased). She was the beloved matriarch of her family and the glue that held everyone together.
For 53 wonderful years, Elaine shared a loving and beautiful marriage with her husband Charles Freireich, who preceded her in death. Together they created a close-knit family that became the center of her world.
Elaine is survived by her children, Stephen (Michelle) Freireich, Ronald (Charla) Freireich, James (Jill) Freireich; her cherished grandchildren, Adam Freireich, Jordan (Lindsey) Freireich, Taylor (William) Sweeney, Kailey Freireich (fiancé TJ Malkus), Jenna Freireich; and her treasured great-grandchildren Kelsey and Kayla Freireich.
Elaine was the sister of Edwin (Vicki) Dolinsky (both deceased), Sandra (William, deceased) Witt, Laurel (Robert) Turoff (both deceased), Maxine Leikin, Debra Riseman, Bruce (Linda) Mittleman, and was a beloved aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Nothing brought Elaine greater joy than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether celebrating milestones, gathering for holidays, or enjoying the simple moments together, her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by loved ones.
Elaine was an avid Mahjong player and was a dedicated volunteer particularly with B’nai B’rith. She valued her close friendships, many of which spanned decades. Her memory will live on through the family and friends she adored and the countless lives she touched.
May her memory forever be a blessing. Services will be held Friday, October 16, 2026, at 12 noon at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel 1985 S. Taylor Rd. Cleveland Hts.
