Jim and Family,
So very sorry to hear this sad news.
Emily and my mother, Connie Berger and  my grandmother, Tillie Barron,  became instant friends at Beth Aynu. 
Emily always made you feel important 
 and special. She had a warm and  friendly
smile, and always had a kind word.
Wishing you much love and peace at this difficult time.

My condolences to the family.  I remember Emily from our days at Cleveland Heights High School.   The only memories I have are of cheerful, laughing  young woman.

I will always remember you cooking and laughing at us while Allison, Jeremy and I chased each other around the house, you and Uncle Jimmy playing Hand and Foot endlessly with Mom and Dad and knowing I'd be a grown up when I learned how to play, your love of dachshunds Lucky and Shana and the Dog Fancy magazines in the house,  the Energizer Bunny shirt you got for your energetic young nephew down the street, and how you made your house our second home when we lived in Cleveland.

So many sweet, loving, delicious memories of Emily's infectious joy and how she shared it with everyone she knew. Emily was a ray of sunshine! May her memory always be for a blessing, and may our collective memories surround Jim and all of Emily's family with love and comfort.

My heart goes out to Emilys family. She was a wonderful person who always had a smile on her face.  We met in 6th grade at Noble elementary school in Cleveland Heights.  It was great to renew a friendship on facebook and catch up with life.

Sending  my sincere condolences from New York.  I so enjoyed meeting Emily at Denise & Michael’s wedding in 2018.  Such a sweet, funny and charming woman who is gone too soon. When I think of Emily, I think of a playful soul with a big smile.  May good memories and Emily’s positivity give the family strength at this sad time.

My name is Andrea Schoenheimer. I met Emily in September 1968 on Machon. I have fond  memories of Emily. She had such a positive outlook and a big generous smile. 

Emily and I were located on the top floor of our residence and so saw a lot of each other despite being in different classes. Lots of conversation at night into the wee hours before tumbling into bed. 

When I saw her memorial photo, her beaming  smile transported me back to the top floor of the Bayit Rishon to Emily!s curly hair,  smiling countenance and sheer vibrant enthusiasm. 

I have never forgotten Emily despite never seeing her again. When the Jerusalem sector of  the Machon program finished, I returned to Australia in February 1969. 

I was saddened to learn just days ago of Emily’s illness and this morning of her death. 

I wanted to tell her family that far away on the other side of the world, Emily is remembered with love.  I will light a ner zikaron  and may her memory be blessed. 

I now live on the Gold Coast which is about an hour drive south of Brisbane. If any of Emily’s family find their way to my part of the world, you are most welcome in my home.
